Composition Tests
On a foggy night, I took the opportunity to film some brief shots and compositions of with my phone.
On a personal note, I adore such gloomy nights, and really puts me in a comfortable place. The mist felt like a hug from nature. The shots had this ethereal vibe, and I really wish there is fog on the filming night of the final project.
A little crooked leafless tree cinematic. It really gives out a creepy and mysterious feel.
A POV shot test, there's an eerie feel to walking in the mist, not knowing if you are alone.
I extended my tripod to its maximum height and shot this wholesome high angle of me and a stray cat having the time of their life.
Some more fog filled nature cinematics, oh how I adore this aesthetic.
Here is a shot inspired by the really old classic horror movie "Evil Dead", where the antagonist isn't revealed but is only represented through POV shots moving quickly through the misty forest. I fixed my phone into a tripod and held it upside down, giving the feel of a scary creature running towards something.
I love this shot, the mood of the lighting really tells a story for itself, and the cat makes it even better. Playing with exposure really improved the shots.
another semi-silhouette of me and a stray cat following me in my quest to walk into utter nothingness of the mist.
A tilt up of a swinging swing. This was shot on another night, hence no mist, or else it would've looked very cool.
