SHRILL

Written by Akbar Toru

establishing shot starts in daylight, and descends down on a lawn with swings, that cuts to a night shot of the same composition, except the swings are now swinging.

EXT . SUBURBAN STREET - NIGHT

In an empty street, Alden enters the scene on a bicycle, headed home, listening to a podcast about kids going missing.

Podcaster(narration)

So yeah, it's been a rough month for many parents, these little innocent kids have been disappearing all over the state. Investigators claim that they could hardly find any traces left behind. This only leaves the public to come up with hoaxes and theories about what might have happened or is happening to these kids...

Alden enters his home and gets off his bike, the podcaster continues.

The most common theory that's rising is the return of the satanic unholy figure Baphomet! who has a history of stealing young souls, and the last time there were reported were about a millennia ago , during the time of Dark Europe, according to my research, but this is hardly believable because these are all part of myths and fables, and all that stuff is made up. People probably came to this conclusion because some claim that they heard eerie screams around the times the kids were speculated to go missing...(and pause)

Alden pauses the podcast after sitting on a swing, intending to find some peace when suddenly a very loud and disturbing scream is heard. Alden drops his phone and turns around to see the horrific figure of Baphomet.

Baphomet turns its head round to point Alden and repeats another strange scream. Alden makes a run for it but bumps into Baphomet, who is now standing in his way too.

Alden falls and Baphomet leans over him in a threatening way, and the last thing Alden sees and hears is the terrifying phantom and the unsettling shrill that consumes him. The two characters disappear in thin air.

Alden's phone resumes the podcast itself...

(static) And that's all for today folks, stay safe out there, especially the kids. Here's a little song to conclude today's episode!

(Daisy by Strange U, Doctor Zygote, King Kashmere plays, while screams of people suffering are heard in the background)
