 Our Media course is based on the 4 major key media concepts:

Language, Representation, Industry and Audience.



Such questions are to be given importance when concerning these media concepts;

Language:

-what are the important meanings and messages in the constructed media?

-what techniques were applied to add or alter the meaning of the constructed media?

Representation:

-Who is being represented in the constructed media?

-who is the audience who would have a preferred reading?

-What ideas were intended to be communicated about the characters?

-What micro features encode the meaning?

-Does the constructed media try to use or subvert stereotypes?

Industry:

-How do the media institutions work?

-How does the institution influence the media products?

-Who constructed the media?

Audience:

-Who is the audience of the constructed media?

-Why the audience will find the media enjoyable or entertaining?

-How will the audience relate to the characters?

-What features in the constructed media communicate ideas to the audience?
